SERVICE OF HEAD AND HEART
Look at the "Lighthouse"
atop a rock
rising out of the sea.
Day time
in burning heat. Night time
in freezing cold.
All the time
whipped by wind and waves.
And many a time
battered by cruel storms.
Yet,
the lighthouse stands
unshaken!
Facing odds and doing its duty.
Giving shelter and showing the way.
Letting no ship go astray.
I wish my heart be
as solid as that rock
weathering pains.
I wish my head be
as powerful as that light
defying darkness.
I wish my life be
as humble as that shore.
Come what may - go what may
unmoved!
Serving without a say.
